Regional Sales Manager - South Central US

SUMMARY:

An integral part of our USA Regional Account team, Regional Sales Manager will assume a leadership role in business development of new and current customers, project sales, product specification, and implementation of successful product launches while achieving sales and profitability goals.  Managing the sales activities of the independent manufacturer sales representatives who sell NICOR products while increasing sales, brand awareness, advertising and profitability.

REPORTS TO:

Vice President of Sales

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Through professional personal selling efforts increase sales of NICOR, Inc. products throughout the RSM’s assigned territory.
  • Promote and increase Brand awareness through Marketing and Advertising.
  • Ensure that sales are profitable and meet or exceed expectations and requirements as set by Management.
  • Leverage, develop and maintain relationships with key customers throughout the territory to support increased NICOR sales and profits.
  • Direct, coordinate, manage and motivate the activities and efforts of the independent sales representatives throughout regional territories.
  • Develop measurement tools and reports with which to establish, verify and measure sales force effectiveness and profitability.
  • Travel as required to effectively manage and train the outside sales staff and monitor territory activities, trends, issues and opportunities for growth and increased market penetration. Up to 60% overnight travel.
  • Prepare detailed sales forecasts and projections as required and present plan to applicable employees.
  • Required to travel to NICOR Headquarters (Albuquerque, NM) to participate in Operation Review meetings and ongoing training and strategy meetings.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • Manufacturer Representative Management experience required
  • Minimum (2) years’ experience in the Electrical and/or Lighting Industry
  • Strong references from Distributors and Manufacturer Representatives

District Sales Manager

REPORTS TO:

Regional Sales Manager and/or Vice President of Sales, NICOR Agent Sales Representative

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Through professional personal selling efforts increase profitable sales of NICOR, Inc. products throughout the DSM’s assigned territory.
  • Drive increased sales through direct selling efforts – replacing the work typically performed by the lighting agent. Sales, service, follow-up, on-site troubleshooting, customer events, counter days, industry events, etc.  Focus on driving increased sales and profits for NICOR.
  • Coordinate distributor targets, solicitations, and events with NICOR Agent Sales Representative.
  • Coordinate contractor and end user targets, solicitations and events with NICOR Agent Sales Representative.
  • Promote and increase brand awareness through sales and marketing activities.
  • With samples, literature and other sales tools provide by the company, will create stock and project sales throughout the territory.
  • Drive stock sales through distribution and will drive project sales through distribution, contractors, ESCOs, National Accounts, builders, developers, etc.
  • Ensure that sales are profitable and meet or exceed expectations and requirements as set by Management.
  • Leverage, develop and maintain relationships with key customers throughout the territory to support increased NICOR sales and profits.

Industrial Sales Manager

An integral part of our USA Sales Team, associate will lead the NICOR Industrial and Hazardous/Harsh location lighting product line activities in North America.  Will assume a leadership role in business development of new and current customers, project sales, product specification, and implementation of successful product launches while achieving sales and profitability goals.  Expected to have unsurpassed knowledge of our products, technical requirements and specifications for targeted market applications/industries, customers and competitors.  Will be responsible for growing manufacturing and field service revenue with customers in the heavy industrial and harsh & hazardous market segments.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESCO Sales Manager

SUMMARY:

An integral part of our USA sales team, the National ESCO Sales Manager, NSEM, (Energy Service Company) is expected to develop relationships with ESCO’s, Super ESCO’s, ESCO sub-contractors, energy consultants and utility personnel.  The NESM will drive sales of NICOR branded LED products via electrical wholesale partners/distributors that cater to the needs of the ESCO channel.  The NESM must understand utility energy rebate programs and current Federal/State tax codes to maximize effectiveness and to provide our customers with the best “total cost of ownership” solution.

REPORTS TO:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Through professional personal selling efforts increase sales of NICOR Inc. products throughout the United States of America.
  • Train and educate agents, distributors, contractors, consultants and end-users on the value of NICOR branded products via hands-on presentations and webinars.
  • Ensure that sales are profitable and meet or exceed expectations and requirements as set by Management.
  • Leverage, develop and maintain relationships with key customers throughout the USA to support increased NICOR sales and profits.
  • Be a sales leader and team player; coordinate sales activities with NICOR Regional Sales Managers, their assigned independent sales representatives (agents), and inside sales team.
  • Develop measurement tools and reports with which to establish, verify and measure sales contribution, effectiveness and profitability.
  • Travel as required throughout the USA to support project development and relationships with selected distribution partners, ESCO’s, consultants and utility personnel.  Up to 60% overnight travel.
  • Develop a sales plan designed to penetrate the national ESCO channel.
  • Prepare detailed sales forecasts and projections as required.
  • Prepare and submit a weekly sales report and monthly expense report.
  • Required to travel to NICOR Headquarters (Albuquerque, NM) to participate in bi-monthly Operation Review meetings.
  • Utilize internal NICOR reports to recognize trends, gaps, and opportunities.

Data Center Business Development Manager

SUMMARY:

As an integral part of our North American National Accounts Team, the Data Center Business Development Manager will assume a leadership role in new business development and be responsible for account management and revenue growth focusing on major US Data Center accounts. Responsible for uncovering and supporting opportunities through the development of new accounts and driving expansion across existing accounts.

REPORTS TO:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Seek new business opportunities, growing NICOR’s presence and market share within the NICOR Data Center Business product offering.
  • Grow revenue through the cultivation of existing customers while securing new business within the Data Center vertical channel.
  • Aid in the development of business expansions by uncovering market opportunities.
  • Promote and increase Brand awareness through Marketing and Advertising.
  • Prepare professional presentations and present to “C” level executives.
  • Ensure that sales are profitable and meet or exceed expectations and requirements as set by Management.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience (BS/MS Degree in an engineering discipline. MBA preferred).
  • Possess significant direct selling and sales account management experience.  (Experience in selling semiconductor components or solutions into hyper scaler or enterprise data center accounts is preferred.)
  • Knowledge of systems/solution selling which includes SW, IP, and Design Tools is preferred.
  • Experience performing hands-on technical product demonstrations with design committees and other duties within the project approval process.
  • Data Center experience required.
