Product description
This 4″ low voltage airtight aluminum housing is rated for non-insulation contact. This remodel housing is also suitable for new construction in both residential and commercial applications. Features thermal protector guards and IDEAL push-in wire connectors for easy installation.
- Low-voltage remodel housing is ideal for residential and commercial applications requiring 12V MR16 or JC lamps from 20W to 50W
- Class H 50W transformer with integral thermal protection helps guard against improper lamping and installation misuse
- Airtight aluminum housing reduces air leakage between conditioned spaces and ceiling plenums while meeting Washington State Energy Code airflow requirements
- Low-profile 4.5-inch housing height fits standard 2-inch x 6-inch joist construction and is suitable for remodel or new construction projects
- Features IDEAL push-in wire connectors, multiple 3/4-inch knockouts, and through-branch circuit wiring capability for fast and convenient installation

Construction
- Suitable for remodel construction in residential and commercial applications
- NON-IC. Insulation must be kept a minimum of 3” from housing
- 4.5” height allows use in 2” x 6” joist construction
Electrical
- Transformer includes integral thermal protector, guards against improper lamping and misuse of installation materials
- Uses low voltage 20W - 50W MR-16 or JC type lamps (12V) (not included)
- Class H 50W transformer, step down from 120V to 12V
- Use dimmers specifically designed for low voltage magnetic transformers
- Supplied with three push-in wire connectors
