This 6″ IC rated housing is suitable for new construction in residential and commercial applications and for direct contact with insulation. Integral thermal guards protect against improper lamping and misuse of insulation materials with lamp wattage ratings and apertures based off trim selection. Designed for slope ceiling installation with a 2/12 to 6/12 pitch, the socket pivots to allow the lamp to be aimed straight down regardless of ceiling pitch. The airtight housing limits the exchange of air between ceiling plenum and heated/cooled areas. The housing adjusts from 0.5” to 1.5” to accommodate ceiling thickness and its 7.5” height allows it to be used in 2” x 8” joist construction.

This adjustable eyeball trim is quite versatile as it can be used for general, task and accent lighting or for wall washing applications. These trims allow a lamp to float in the housing so the lamp can be directed to a specific place in the room. One benefit to using adjustable trims is that the housing can be installed off center letting the trim compensate for the housing’s position while still accomplishing the desired lighting effect.
