Built for Demanding, Wet-Location Environments
The VT5 replaces legacy fluorescent strip lights in the applications that need it most: car wash operations, parking garages, maintenance facilities, canopies, locker rooms, and stairwells. Its fully gasketed polycarbonate housing and captive stainless steel latches keep the light chamber sealed during and after installation. The UV-stabilized, frosted polycarbonate lens resists yellowing and adds 5% uplight, so the fixture holds its output and its appearance over time.
Wattage and CCT Selectable On-Site
Instead of stocking separate SKUs for every color temperature and output level, the VT5 puts the choice on the fixture. A wattage selector and a CCT selector, built into both the driver and the fixture body, let installers set 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K and low, medium, or high output at the time of install. That means fewer part numbers to track and less guesswork on the job site.
Sensor and Emergency Options Built In
The VT5 supports an internal microwave motion sensor, or an external microwave or PIR sensor for installations that need it mounted separately. It’s also compatible with NICOR’s NLC wireless sensor line. A 12V output from the driver powers connected sensors directly, and occupancy detection with daylight harvesting helps cut energy use in spaces that aren’t lit continuously. For applications that require it, factory-installed emergency packs are available in 4W, 8W, and 18W options.
Installation Made Simple
Toolless spring-steel clips mount the VT5 to walls or ceilings without hardware, and the same clips include a feature for cable or chain suspension. Drill-through knockouts (three on the back, one on the end) support wiring flexibility for continuous rows or standalone runs. The fixture is rated to operate from -40°F to 113°F when surface mounted, or up to 122°F when suspended at least 18 inches from the ceiling, so it holds up in unconditioned spaces.
Back by a 5-year Warranty
Every VT5 carries NICOR’s 5-year limited system warranty. The fixture is cETLus listed for wet locations, RoHS compliant, and DLC 6.0 Premium certified, with TM-21 reported L70(9k) life over 50,000 hours.
